Error in account 'www.yourdomain.com' Server 'mail.yourdomain.com' Protocol: POP3. Port 110. Security (SSL) No. Error number 0x800C0133
Error 0x800C0133 arises because the computer cannot connect to the server, which can occur due to several factors. Below, we analyze them in detail:
Option 1: Your antivirus is blocking the connection.
Some types of antivirus work by placing themselves between the Internet connection and the email program, intercepting the messages you send and receive through it: the email message goes to the antivirus, which scans it and then transmits it to the server of e-mail.
This mode of operation of the antivirus is prone to errors with large email messages and/or containing attached files, especially on slow computers (computers with little CPU, RAM or many programs running at the same time).
To check if your Antivirus is working this way - causing error 0x800C0133 -, temporarily disable your antivirus and proceed to send the message again. If the operation is successful, the problem is caused by the antivirus and to permanently solve the problem you will have to reconfigure it so that it does not intercept your email messages.
Option 2: Your firewall is blocking the email client.
If you have a firewall on your PC, error 0x800C0133 may be generated by not having Internet access open for the Msimn.exe (Outlook express) or Outlook.exe (Microsoft Office Outlook) applications.
Likewise, it may happen that your firewall does not have port 110 - for receiving email - and port 25 - for sending email - open.
In this case, to fix the problem you will need to temporarily disable your firewall and try sending the message again. If the message is sent correctly, the problem occurs because the firewall is blocking the ports used to send and/or receive messages. To solve the problem you must reconfigure your firewall allowing the use of ports 110 and 25.
Option 3: The server blocked your connection
In the event of repeated attempts to access any of our services with incorrect data, it may occur that your Internet connection IP is blocked by the server's firewall, generating error 0x800C0133. You can verify if your IP is blocked or not in the server's firewall from your client area by following the steps indicated here: http://clientes.atlanticadigital.net/knowledgebase/267/Ip-blocked-en-el-servidor- How-to-unblock-a-blocked-ip-in-the-server-firewall.html
Option 4: The attachment is too large.
If error 0x800C0133 is not common on your PC, it may be generated due to an attempt to download an email with an attached file that is too large, which is saturating your antivirus scanner. Try to access the mailbox from the webmail server and verify the email you are trying to download. You can access the server's webmail through: www.sudominio.com/webmail
Option 5: Saturated connection.
Error 0x800C0133 can be generated by intermittent problems in your Internet connection or interruptions in transmission as a result of saturation. If your connection is shared between different computers, they may not have enough outgoing bandwidth (to the Internet).
To check, make sure that only you are using Internet access and try sending the message again. If the problem persists, you should contact your internet provider for resolution.
Option 6: Corrupt “inbox.dbx” file
Error 0x800C0133 can be generated if the “inbox.dbx” file is corrupt. In these cases, to solve the error you need to follow the following instructions:
Open the Outlook Express program on your PC.
Move all messages from your Inbox to other folders. [To create a new folder, click File menu > Folders > New, name the folder, and click OK.]
Once all the messages in the Inbox have been moved to another folder, access the Tools > Options menu.
Select the Maintenance tab and then click the Vault Folder button.
The Warehouse Location window appears, displaying an address. Right click on the field where the address is displayed and click Select all. Right click again and select Copy.
Close the Outlook Express program.
Open the My Computer folder on your computer. In the address bar, paste the address that you copied in the Outlook Express Store Location window.
Select the file named “Inbox.dbx” and delete it by pressing the Delete button on the keyboard.
Open the Outlook Express program on your PC again. Immediately
will create a new file “inbox.dbx” in the store folder.
Try not to use the inbox as your usual email storage folder, as it is where files are most easily corrupted.
After following these instructions, you will be able to send and receive emails correctly with your email account from Outlook Express or Outlook.
