What is a SQL injection? What do I do if I have a SQL injection attack?

Hackers use a SQL injection attack to try to access your databases. They may be looking for customer information, usernames, passwords, credit card numbers or other sensitive information.

SQL (Structured Query Language) is specifically understood by databases. Hackers insert commands from this programming language into input fields on your site and if your site is vulnerable, these commands will open the database, so the hacker can steal the information contained therein. This can be devastating for an online business.

It's key that you use the most recent versions of all apps and limit the use of third-party plugins where possible. Your SiteLock 360-Degree Deep Scan will verify the security of each data entry box – if a vulnerability is detected, you will be notified.
