In this article we are going to describe step by step how to install an ecommerce store in a single click, for this we are going to use our Softaculous autoinstaller included in all our hosting plans and the PrestaShop ecommerce script , one of the most functional online stores in the current online offering.

To begin with, we will say that Prestashop is free and that in addition to being easily installable with Softaculous, we can also make our backup copies, receive notifications of available updates and update directly from Softaculous, all in one click.

The first thing is to enter your cPanel control panel, go to the Software section and click on the Softaculous icon.

Once inside Softaculous we click on the Prestashop image. As you can see, in addition to PrestaShop you can install hundreds of other scripts. The method is very similar to the one we describe here.

We directly go to the Installation Form as you can see in the following image.

As we can see in the form, we simply have to fill in the fields, by default Softaculous will always offer us the latest stable version available but in the drop-down we can find other versions, however it is always better to use the latest version.

Important points of the installation form:

Select Protocol, if your site has SSL, please choose the HTTPS protocol, otherwise we will use the default protocol HTTP:// this is important because if you do not have a certificate SSL security and you use the HTTPS protocol your store will not work correctly, if you need an SSL certificate you must keep in mind that you need a dedicated IP on your server and a verified SSL certificate, if you are our client we can provide it to you, both the IP and the certificate.

Directory, the directory is relative to the domain and that folder should not already exist. For example, to install to http://domain/directory/ type directory. To install on http://domain/ leave the field empty. By default Softaculous always puts a directory, but if you are going to install in the root directory of your domain, leave the field blank, that is, if you want your store to be seen directly when you put your domain in the browser, leave the directory field blank If, on the other hand, you want the store to be installed in a directory like http://yourdomain.com/store/, write store in the directory field.

You can leave the rest of the fields as default except for the site name and description, which will be what your online store is called, the email address, enter the one you are going to use for your store, the password by clicking on the icon The key generates a 100% secure password, the default language is Spanish but you can install in other languages if you wish and in the field Send installation details by email to: by email so that I can send you the installation details.
