What is the difference between hosting and domain?

Difference between hosting and domain

A domain is the right to use the name of a site (for example, atlanticadigital.net).
The domain is the name with which the site will be identified, that is, it will be the name of the address of our site on the Internet. This domain must be purchased and that gives you the right to make exclusive use of the domain, which can be .com, .org, .net, etc.

Hosting, or web hosting, is a space on a server so that when someone types your domain name in their browser, they see the information that is stored in that server space (the site where all of the atlanticadigital information is hosted. net).

You can have all the domains you want without hosting, just to prevent anyone else from having it or to use it with web and email redirection services.
