What do they mean when they say that the Monthly Transfer allowed in a plan is 2 GB, 4 GB or 12 GB? Is it a lot or a little?

Throughput refers to the amount of information (traffic) your website sends. This means that, for example, within our Mini hosting Plan you will be able to display pages with up to 10GB of transfer per month.
Once you reach the transfer limit before the month, you will see a warning on the website and you will be able to request an upgrade to a larger plan or wait until the month ends to have all the monthly transfer available again.

To give you an idea, if each visitor who comes to view pages on your website consumes an average of 100 Kb, this means that you can have 10,000,000 kb (10Gb) / 100kb = 100,000 visits per month.
