Managing the space consumption of an email account with Email Disk Usage

Email Disk Usage is a cPanel tool that allows us to analyze and act on the space usage of our email accounts.

As soon as you log in, the first step is to select the email account on which we want to carry out the analysis and purge actions. To do this, we use the drop-down menu that appears in the upper area.

With the email account selected, a table will appear in the lower area where all the email account trays appear, ordered from highest to lowest space usage, they will appear in their original format, where "Sent" would be sent items , "INBOX" the inbox, "Archive", archived, etc.

Once the trays with the greatest use of space have been identified, we will have the "Manage" option on the right that allows us to perform mass deletion actions with some pre-established conditions:

  • 30 MB in size or more, delete emails from the tray that exceed 30MB of space.
  • year old or more, eliminates emails older than 1 year.
  • Previously viewed, deletes all messages already read.
  • All messages, deletes all emails from the selected tray.

Finally, we click on Delete Permanently and all emails will be deleted according to the selected condition.
