Allow remote MySQL access

For security reasons cPanel allows you to select which domains have remote access to your MySQL databases and which do not. If you want to connect remotely to MySQL from multiple domains, you must repeat these steps for each one.

  1. Enter the cPanel of the domain to which you want to open MySQL remotely. Remember that you can enter from WHM - List Accounts and clicking on the cPanel logo (cP) of the account you want to work on.
  2. Search now for MySQL Remote in the Databases section.

3. Enter the IP address you want to enable in the Host or Host field and, if you wish, a comment in Comment (optional) or Comments optional. This will allow you to identify, for example, who owns the IP (example: "IP of my office", "IP of my home").

If you need anyone to be able to connect to your databases add the wildcard% (NOT RECOMMENDED).

4.-When you finish click on Add host.

Ready! You should now be able to connect to your databases from the destinations you have added.
