In this guide we are going to teach you how to integrate your store with your Hosting account so that you can refer your website to your store and that you can continue using the email @ your brand that we offer you with our hosting service.
Mercadoshops is a platform that allows you to create and manage your own online store in a simple and complete way, taking advantage of the Mercadolibre platform.
Steps in Mercadoshops: configure your domain
- Enter your Mercadoshops account and on the main page click on General settings > Domain
2. Select the "Connect my own domain" option
3. Enter your domain name (without "www."), select "Other" and press "Continue."
In this guide we will use the domain "yourdomain.com" as an example (you must replace it with the domain of your hosting).
4. In the connection guide below you will see a series of steps to configure your domain. It is important that in the step where it asks you to review what configuration you can do in your provider you indicate "A" and "CNAME" since it will be an integration with your current hosting and not a complete delegation of the domain.
5. The following steps will tell you which records you should change in your DNS zone.
To make these changes, you will need to access your cPanel hosting control panel and Edit your domain's DNS zone or records.
In summary, Mercadoshops requires the following records (subject to modifications):

Note: Make sure that your MX record is created as "mail.yourdomain.com" so that you do not lose the possibility of receiving emails on your domain.
6. When you finish changing all the records, you can return to the Mercadoshops connection guide and press the final button "I already did it."
7. You will receive a confirmation indicating that in the next 24 hours your domain will be ready to be used in Mercadoshops.
You can see the status of your domain by clicking on "Continue" or returning to the section in point 1. You will see that its status is "IN PROCESS" and once it is ready it should say "CONNECTED".
Once Mercadoshops confirms that your domain is ready, by typing it in the browser you will be directly accessing your Mercadoshops and you will keep your hosting for email. co.
