How to activate Cloudflare?

What is CloudFlare?

CloudFlare is a free content delivery network (CDN) service. It stores your static content across multiple servers around the world. For example, if your website is hosted on one of our servers in Texas or Paris and one of your visitors is from Argentina, they will see the content from CloudFlare's location in Argentina. This makes your website's static content load quickly, no matter where your visitors come from.

Why should you use CloudFlare?

CloudFlare not only speeds up access to your website, but it can also help you reduce resource usage! Because static content is loaded from CloudFlare's servers, and not what your website is actually hosted on, people visiting your website won't have as much of an impact on your resource usage.

Cloudflare also helps you protect your website by blocking malicious bots and preventing hacks due to outdated code on the website.

How can I activate Cloudflare?

Go to cloudflare.com and register.

Add your domain by following the instructions provided and filling out the corresponding forms.

Change the DNS to the ones indicated when adding the domain.

After having followed all the steps, it will be necessary to wait for the changes in the DNS to propagate; this process generally takes between 24 and 48 hours.

Alternatively, you can ask us to manage your domain on Cloudflare, free of charge! Through our Cloudflare Partner account, we will take care of everything for you, from delegating your domain to setting it up to work 100% through Cloudflare.
