Below you will find a detailed guide to configure your «@yourdomain.com» email in the Gmail service.
STEP 1: Open your GMAIL account and click the Settings gear. Select «SETTINGS ».
STEP 2: Select the “Accounts and Import” tab.In the «Check mail from other accounts (using POP3)» or «Check mail from other accounts« section, click «Add a POP3 email account of yours«.
STEP 3: Type the full email address and click «Next step«.
STEP 4: Configure the following settings.
User: [email protected]
Password: enter the password of the box
POP Server: mail.YOURDOMAIN.COM
Entry Port: 110
You now have several options to choose from. We recommend these settings:
– Leave a copy of the recovered messages on the server: If you do not check this, you will only be able to check your emails in the Gmail inbox. If that's what you want, don't check it.
– To retrieve email messages, always use an SSL connection: Do not select
– Label incoming messages : Check this box if you want to quickly distinguish messages that come from this account in your inbox.
– Archive incoming messages: Do not check it. You should only check it if you do not want to see new messages in your inbox.
STEP 5: After adding your account, you will need to decide if you want to send messages by putting this address in the sender. This feature allows you to send messages from Gmail as if you were sending them from your @yourdomain.com email account
The Treat as an alias option is useful when you have other email addresses that you want Gmail to treat as if they were your primary address. For example, reminder emails you send to this address would appear as unread in your inbox.
STEP 6: SMTP outgoing mail configuration. The settings you need to set are:
SMTP Server: mail.YOURDOMAIN.COM
Output Port: 25, 587 or 465 (all three are valid. If one does not work, try the next one.)
User: EXAMPLEUSER@YOURDOMAIN. com
Secure connection using TLS (recommended): Activate
Click on «Add account»
STEP 7: You will receive an email in your configured mailbox «[email protected]» with which you will have to validate the configuration made in GMAIL.
That's it! The account should be operational on your device. In the event that you have any type of problem, do not hesitate to contact our support desk.
