Max user connections (maximum connections per user)
At Atlantica Digital, a maximum of 25 simultaneous MySQL connections are allowed per cPanel, over our conventional shared hosting services (Mini, basic, standard, e-commerce and multidomain plans).
If this limit is exceeded, you will receive a max_user_connections error.
Usually, this problem may be because your site has too much traffic for the selected shared service, or your site may be under attack. It is your responsibility to fix this issue by updating your web application to the new version, optimizing/indexing databases, or upgrading to a semi-dedicated or dedicated type service. You can contact us at any time through your customer area to obtain an appropriate diagnosis and specific advice.
Too many connections
Atlantica Digital has a much higher limit of maximum simultaneous global MySQL connections per server.
If the server has reached this limit, you will receive a Too many connections error similar to the following:
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections in / home / yoursite / public_html / includes / functions / database.php on line 42 Cannot connect to the database server of data!
In this case, the server has to be investigated by the server administrators. You can send us a support ticket from your customer area to report this problem.
