The first step for your domain to point to our servers is to modify the "DNS" of the domain, pointing it to those of AtlanticaDigital.
In the service registration email that we send you, with subject: "Your account has been activated", you will be able to see the DNS (domain name servers) to which you can delegate your domain. They are the same, in all cases:
ns1.atlanticadigital.net
ns2.atlanticadigital.net
Keep in mind that if you register the domain with us, it will already be delegated to our DNS by default.
What is a domain?
A domain name consists of a sequence of names (tags) separated by periods.
The purpose of domains is to allow users connected to the Internet to find Web sites and send email to addresses with simple names, without having to memorize the numerical addresses that are actually the ones that computers or servers locate on the Internet.
There are many possible extensions when selecting a domain: .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, etc. These are some extensions called "International". In turn, each country has its own extension, for example: .com.ar, .com.ve, .com.mx, .cl, etc, etc.
Can I use any character as part of my domain name?
The domain name must be a concatenation of characters belonging to the alphabet defined by the letters of the alphabet "a" to "z" (without accents, umlauts, or "ñ"), the digits "0" to "9" and the character "-" (minus sign). The rest of the characters cannot be part of the domain name.
Where can I register my domain name?
